The father of a British woman who went missing in Japan nearly two weeks ago appealed yesterday for help in finding his 21-year-old daughter, who may have been kidnapped.

Lucie Blackilometresan of Sevenoaks, Kent, went missing in mysterious circumstances in Tokyo on July 1 when she failed to return from an afternoon errand.

Police said Blackilometresan's travelling companion had received telephone calls from a man saying the former British Airways flight attendant had been taken for training in a new religious cult.
