Denunciation
of Falun Gong Continues Across Nation
Officials
and the general public across China continue to lash out
at Li Hongzhi and his Falun Gong organization, with an increasing
number of people coming to realize the true nature of the
cult.
Falun
Gong has fooled and instigated practitioners to besiege
and disturb government departments and the media in the
past few years. In particular, the April 25 gathering at
the Zhongnanhai compound severely disordered the routine
work of the Party and government institutions, and jeopardized
Beijing's stability, in violation of the Constitution and
other regulations, said Tian Shuyu, a judge at the people's
higher court of north China's Hebei Province.
The
Falun Dafa Research Society was illegal because it was not
registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs, said Chai
Zhenguo, a law professor with the Hebei University of Economics
and Trade. Just as illegal were the activities organized
by the organization that disturbed social order.
Chen
Shasha, one of the former heads of Falun Gong's general
training center in Shenyang, the capital of northeast China's
Liaoning Province, participated in the December 31 gathering
around the provincial government building, and the April
25 gathering at the Zhongnanhai compound.
But
now she has broken with the cult. The 48-year-old Party
member said that Li Hongzhi often agitated practitioners
to put pressure upon governments, and that he adopted many
illegal means to materialize his ulterior political motives.
Experts
from legal circles in Jilin Province and other localities
have suggested strengthening legal education for the public,
in a bid to raise legal awareness among the general public.
