China
Closes Illegal Falun Gong Web Site
China
has closed a Falun Gong web site which is alleged to have
spread illegal materials.
The
site, launched by a local worker of a computer company in
this capital of northeast China's Jilin province in May
this year, has published books and articles of Li Hongzhi,
founder of the Falun Gong cult, and practitioners' comments,
and instigated Falun Gong practitioners to attack the government
organs, police sources say.
The
site even issued an emergency appeal calling on Falun Gong
adherents to stage demonstrations in Beijing after Falun
Gong was outlawed on July 22.
