Signature Drive against Falun Gong

A northeast Chinese city has been staging a massive sign-in this week to condemn the Falun Gong cult.

The event, held in Anshan city of Liaoning province, has attracted one million people, including Party officials, engineers, doctors, teachers and students.

"Our country is so prosperous and ordinary people are living better lives. However, Li Hongzhi and his organization are attempting to cheat us and ruin our lives," said Chen Xiaozu, a government official.

He said that the suicide event at Tian'anmen Square by Falin Gong follower has fully exposed the cult's true nature of anti- mankind, anti-society and anti-science.

Liu Changqing, a 38-year-old driver, said that Falun Gong has brought serious injuries to its practitioners and the cult must be eliminated.

Wang Mengnan, a primary school student, said that Li Hongzhi is an evil man and "we would not allow Falun Gong to get onto our campus".

The sign-in movement is called "combating cult and safeguarding human rights".
