The Chinese version of a book expounding on the nature, prevention and disposal of cults was published Tuesday by the Xinhua Publishing House.

The book explains in detail the origin and nature of cults and their threat to society, and family as well as the mental and physical health of human beings. It also illustrates the relationship between the formation of cults and the victims' surrounding social environment, family relations, and personality weak points.

Meanwhile, the book reveals to readers the various ways through which the cults exert spiritual control over their followers.

The book puts forward many suggestions on how to spot cults, settle the cult issue, comprehensively prevent cults and retrieve cult followers.
