The Ministry of Education and the Central ommittee of the Communist Youth League have urged schools nationwide to launch activities to keep the Falun Gong cult out of campuses.

A circular released Thursday says the self immolation of five Falun Gong practitioners in Tiananmen Square demonstrates the anti-society and anti-humanity nature of the cult.

It says cult leader Li Hongzhi has thrown himself into the lap of Western anti-China forces and is acting as their tool for subverting the Chinese government.

The circular stresses students should be clearly aware of the nature of Falun Gong, which can seriously threaten young people's healthy development.
