The Bejing Higher People's Court has rejected appeals by four Falun Gong practitioners, upholding their prison sentences for spreading information about the banned organization.

In November, the Beijing Number 1 Intermediate People' Court convicted the four of using an evil cult to undermine the law. Pang You was sentenced to eight years in prison, Mu Chunyan and Chen Suping to seven years and Zhang Lixin to three.

The four had been disseminating the doomsady cult publications produced in a high-tech printing shop in rural Beijing.
