Why Steal Secrets?

On October 25, 1999, the official Xinhua News Agency carried an announcement from the public security department: Li Hongzhi and his "Falun Dafa Research Society" illegally obtained and kept 59 secret documents of the Chinese Government, among which 20 were top-secret, 24 were confidential and 15 were classified. Why on earth should Li Hongzhi be so interested in state secrets?

There are two possibilities: One is that he had done something that he feared the government would punish him for, and so he stole the secret documents hoping to use them as a shield against punishment; the other is that he harbored a sinister political plot.

It is unquestionable that Li Hongzhi must have done something unconscionable. For example, from April 1998 to April 25, 1999, under the planning and command of Li and his "Falun Dafa Research Society," the cult organized its practitioners to harass and besiege Party and government organizations and news reporting institutions dozens of times all over China. On April 25, they instigated more than 10,000 people to harass and besiege Zhongnanhai, aiming their attack at the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. Within less than three months after April 25, the cult planned and stirred up more than 300 incidents of harassment and siege, which disturbed public order . Li's heretical theories have caused the deaths of hundreds of people. In addition, he has accumulated untold wealth by unfair means. This really is a shocking situation.

Stealing secrets reveals a particularly sinister aspect of ``Falun Gong."

Li Hongzhi has declared that he has no interest in politics, and that "Falun Gong" doesn't participate in any political or social affairs. But at the same time, his followers infiltrated Party and government organizations, especially key departments, in a planned way and with a definite aim. They quickly obtained many state secrets. On the one hand, this shows that the cult is well organized. On the other hand, it shows that Li Hongzhi and the core members of the "Falun Dafa Research Society" are cooking up a serious political plot. No wonder Li and his henchmen are so swollen with arrogance! They seem to think that their power is enough to dominate the world already, so that they are able to do whatever they like. Actually, they are nothing more than clowns, and are held in contempt by sensible people.

Justice will not let those who act against the law go unpunished!
