The Cult and Its Boss

Facts
prove that "Falun Gong" is a cult. "Falun
Gong," headed by Li Hongzhi, bears all the characteristics
of a cult, such as the worship of its head as a deity and
making money by illegal means.
Li
Hongzhi, styling himself as a god, immortal or savior sent
by Heaven to save mankind, repeatedly warns about the "destruction
of the world," the "errors of science," the
"uselessness of government" and the "terror
of the modern world," and preaches that only he, the
only true God in modern times, can save the world and that
his "Falun Dafa" can lead people to "paradise";
otherwise, there will be no way out for mankind. This does
not mean that Li Hongzhi is mad; actually, his thinking
is quite lucid. He has invented these evil theories and
crooked doctrines to make people follow him faithfully and
do whatever he tells them, thus serving his political aims.
Let's look at what he has done. He said that besieging media
organs was propagating the law of Buddha and that those
who did not take part in such activities were not faithful
to him and his "Falun Dafa." He also said that
besieging Zhongnanhai would lead to a higher level of cultivation,
and that any of his followers who refused to take part would
not be able to progress.
Li
Hongzhi has preached time and again about how "benevolent"
and "friendly and kind" he has been, and that
he is ready and willing to deliver all living creatures
from torment. He once said, "I am the first person
to provide mankind with what I have gained from my own cultivation.
This has never happened before. Indeed, I am doing something
that has never been done by anyone before -- providing mankind
with a ladder to Heaven." He also said, "Everything
in this world is arranged by me, and the world cannot go
on without me." How benevolent this contemporary Buddha
is! However, this is only his kind surface. There is another
side to his nature, which is not so benevolent. In his articles
and lectures he advocates the sinister theory that birth,
age, illness and death are "karma retribution."
He warns, "You must pay the debts you owe," and
"Only after you have paid back karma can you enjoy
happiness." How can one dispel karma? Li Hongzhi tells
people that only those who believe in his "Falun Dafa"
and practice "Falun Gong" can do it. He preaches
that ``only real practitioners can really cure illness"
and the "Falun Gong" they practice can automatically
wipe out diseases and karma. Taking medicine means putting
pressure on karma but cannot purify the bodies of practitioners.
Therefore, the essence of the matter is that medicine cannot
cure illness. Then, what about those who refused to take
medicine, and died as a result? Li Hongzhi cannot tolerate
such questioning. He called those who died because of practicing
"Falun Gong" "demons," and claimed that
they had great "destructive power." So the logic
he has carefully designed is quite clear: Practicing "Falun
Gong" alone can eliminate disaster and cure illness,
and taking medicine is useless; if you "die while you
are practicing `Falun Gong' you are guilty and deserve to
die." What kind of a savior is he? It is clear that
Li Hongzhi is the chief of an evil cult.
In
short, "Falun Gong" is a cult and Li is the head
of the cult.
