---- Li Hongzhi Contradicts Himself and Denies His Deeds

Following the deepening of the struggle to criticize "Falun Gong" Li Hongzhi and his "Falun Gong" have become like a rat crossing the street - with everybody shouting, "Kill it!" - and its nature as a cult has been exposed completely. In order to cover up his sinister intentions and political purpose, Li Hongzhi lied in his teeth, denying what he had said and done in the past. As regards his words and deeds which can not be denied, he simply acted brazen-facedly. He has stripped off the mask of "truthfulness, benevolence and tolerance" completely. Let us compare what he says now with what he said in the past. From his clumsy performance we will see his ugly features clearly.

First:

Li Hongzhi himself plotted and organized the April 25 incident of besieging Zhongnanhai, the center of the Chinese government, in Beijing in 1999. But Li said that he had known nothing about it in advance, and that he was on his way from the United States to Australia at the time.

However, it has been proved that Li was in Beijing from April 22 to 24. He said that he was on his way to Australia when "Falun Gong" practitioner went to Zhongnanhai to complain. He was changing planes in Beijing at the time, but said that he did not know what was happening in Beijing.

But even his trusted followers revealed that Li had plotted and organized the incident himself. So Li had no way to retreat. Then he simply said, "It is impossible for an ordinary person to achieve all-round fulfillment without any test. It is better to test people collectively like this than one by one. In fact I think more people should have gone there. Ten thousand was far from enough."

Second:

Li Hongzhi once said in his preaching: "This world is almost an empty shell. The Earth should have exploded last year." He also said, "The Earth we are living on is not the only celestial body, and there was an earth before, right here, but it blew up."

In his book Zhuan Falun (Turning the Wheel of Law) Li Hongzhi wrote, "I checked carefully, and found that mankind had been destroyed 81 times. Only a few people survived." "The destruction of the human race at different times in the prehistoric period happened when mankind was in a condition of moral degeneration. Now the space in which mankind is living and the other spaces are in a dangerous condition." This is because "at present mankind is evil through and through."

Later, Li Hongzhi realized that he had said too much about the explosion of the Earth and the destruction of mankind, letting slip the cult nature of "Falun Gong." Then he began to deny bit by bit that he had ever advocated these fallacies. He told a preaching meeting in Frankfurt: "There is a kind of religion which specially preaches the doomsday of the world. Those are out-and-out cults." After the April 25 incident, Li Hongzhi denied on the Internet that he had ever uttered such fallacies about the explosion of the Earth and the doomsday of mankind. He claimed that he had been misquoted.

Third:

The fallacy that taking medicine for curing illness only makes the illness worse is an important method used by Li Hongzhi for spiritual control of "Falun Gong" practitioners. He said, "I have told you that for our practitioners it is not a disease when they feel uncomfortable." "Why do people fall ill? The basic reason for all illnesses and misfortunes is karma. People who do evil deeds will get black material - karma - which after many years turns into illness." What will happen if someone goes to hospital and takes medicine? Li Hongzhi said, "Taking medicine can kill the surface virus, and so the patient feels better. But I assure you that the karma is still there. When a person accumulates too much karma his illness will be incurable and he will be thoroughly destroyed when he dies. Therefore, if you want to cure an illness it is imperative for you to practice 'Falun Gong' to dispel karma. If you do not practice 'Falun Gong' you will surely die."

Following the exposure of the true features of "Falun Gong," especially the fact that some "Falun Gong" practitioners died because of delayed treatment, as they had been deceived and misled by Li Hongzhi's heretical fallacies, Li Hongzhi simply denied that he had told people not to take medicine. In his statement of July 22, 1999, he wrote, "It is said that I won't let people take medicine. In fact I never said that. I am the one who has made a hundred million people healthy and have saved a lot of critically-ill patients. I told those people who were seriously ill or had mental problems not to practice 'Falun Gong.' But some of them insisted on practicing it, and they died. Why do people say that they were my followers?"
