Li Hongzhi's "Dream"

By Zhen Yan

To achieve their own goals, all cult chiefs want their disciples to accept their ideas and viewpoints without question, which is actually a form of "brain washing". How about Li Hongzhi? Did he wash his disciples' brains in order to realise his dream? The answer is yes.

Li Hongzhi writes in his Zhuan Falun: "While preaching Dafa you should never mention what you have learned before, because you have made a clean break with it; it no longer belongs to you or to what you want to achieve. While propagating the fa (law), every disciple of `Falun Gong' must repeat, `Master Li Hongzhi teaches....' or `Master Li Hongzhi says....' You should not regard what you have thought, heard, seen or known as Li's Dafa. This means that you have to accept everything the master tells you, and you are not allowed to change it one bit; otherwise, you are not real practitioners of `Falun Dafa,' but `demons.'"

Everyone has his own ideas and consciousness, which are quite different from those of others. This is what makes human beings different from animals. But, according to Li Hongzhi, people are not allowed to have their own ideas and consciousness. If they have, they must replace them with his. They must get rid of what they have had in their minds previously, without leaving a trace.

Why does Li Hongzhi demand that they do so? What will be the outcome if his disciples share one idea and consciousness? We know that actions and deeds are guided by ideology. Only when his disciples share his idea and consciousness will their actions and deeds correspond to those of the cult chief's. Then they will submit to the will of Li Hongzhi, and follow him obediently, without complaints and objections. If the day comes when the vast majority of the people all over the world are disciples of "Falun Gong," he certainly will be their master and the master of the whole world.

Therefore, once people start to practice "Falun Gong," Li can control them by telling them that they are not true, benevolent or tolerant enough, or that they are not faithful, have not attained enough gong, are ``still at the lower level of cultivation," or that the ``wheel of the law" is not rotating inside them if they oppose him. If practitioners follow his instructions, they must accept his ideas and his consciousness, and even devote their whole lives to him and become his voluntary assistants helping him to become the king of the world.

This is Li's dream-to be king of the world.
