Falun Gong Further Exposed
A
newly published book claims that Li Hongzhi, founder of
the Falun Gong cult, repeatedly preached his heretical ideas
and fallacies at every possible occasion, to deceive his
followers.
The
book, entitled "Li Hongzhi and His Falun Gong - Deceiving
the Public and Ruining Lives," was put out by New Star Publishers.
It discloses that on many occasions Li Hongzhi told his
audience: "Mankind on this earth faces inexorable doom.
Our planet should have been totally destroyed last year,
according to my calculations."
Li
claimed to have, by his own power, postponed the destruction
by 30 years.
Li
called his Falun Dafa the "highest Law of Buddha" and the
"orthodox law" superior to all religions.
In
order to make the practitioners of Falun Gong have total
faith in Falun Dafa and abide by the doctrines of his heretical
cult, Li Hongzhi forbade practitioners to believe in any
other religions.
He
said: "The existing religions cannot save people from torment
anymore. They cannot help you attain self-cultivation."
He
also said: "Most of the existing religions are fake."
Leaders of China's religious circles pointed out that not
only do Li Hongzhi and his Falun Dafa have nothing whatsoever
to do with religion, their heretical ideas are directly
opposed to religious doctrines, and are therefore anti-religious.
Li adopted all sorts of heretical means to control his practitioners,
resulting in the deaths of many and serious damage to the
health of others.
Incomplete statistics show that 1,404 people have died as
a result of practising Falun Gong. Still more have been
found to be suffering from mental disorders for the same
reason, says the book. According to doctors at the Beijing
University of Medical Science, the number of patients with
psychiatric disorders caused by Falun Gong has increased
markedly.
In 1992, patients who also practised Falun Gong accounted
for 10.2 per cent of all patients suffering from mental
disorders. In the first half of the year, the number soared
to 42.1 per cent.
"While Li Hongzhi told others not to consult doctors or
take medicine when they were sick, he did not himself practise
what he preached," it notes.
Many bills for reimbursement, turned in by Li and his family
members after consulting doctors and buying medicines, have
been found.
Li Hongzhi and his Falun Gong organization seriously disrupted
public order and encroached upon other people's freedom
of speech and safety, according to the book.
Li would never allow others to hold views not in line with
his preaching, says the book.
Whenever there was criticism of Li and his cult, they would
instigate and organize Falun Gong practitioners to hold
illegal gatherings to harass and attack those who voiced
their criticisms, the book says.
Since 1996, there were several hundred occasions of Falun
Gong people besieging schools, media and publishing institutions,
government organs and even residences of individuals.
This culminated in April 1999, when organizers of Falun
Gong instigated more than 10,000 people to besiege Zhongnanhai,
the seat of the central government, in Beijing.
"Their aim was to muzzle public opinion and coerce the society
in total disregard of law, so as to prevent other people
as well as the media and publishing organizations from voicing
any views that Falun Gong did not approve of," the book
notes.
Li Hongzhi has illegally reaped a large amount of dirty
money by using Falun Gong and committed crimes of tax evasion,
according to the newly published book.
