On February 22, 2000, in an interview given to a correspondent from Fox TV's news channel in the United States, Tracy Zhao, an American Chinese, said that she had witnessed Chinese public security officers mistreating "Falun Gong" practitioners and other criminals in custody, and that the police were much kinder to her because she is an American.

In fact, when Tracy Zhao was detained for investigation because she had engaged in illegal activities at Tiananmen Square, she claimed that she was a native of Beijing and was not carrying any documentation. During the investigation, she refused to reveal her real identity. It was only when the US embassy in China sent Tracy Zhao's passport to China's public security organ that her identity was established.

Tracy Zhao knowingly broke the law, ignoring Chinese law, and claimed to be a native of Beijing. But after she returned to the United States, she invented this story about Chinese public security officers being much kinder to her because she was an "American Chinese." This is really outrageous! Honesty is important, and Tracy Zhao should blush with shame for her lies!
