Fallacies of Cult Leader Li Hongzhi

Can Constant Repetition Turn Lies into Truth?

Truth and lies, science and pseudoscience have always been mutually exclusive.

Truth and science can stand the test of time and practice, but lies and pseudoscience cannot. Li Hongzhi, the founder of the "Falun Gong" cult, claims that the lies he has told are the greatest science, revealing the truth of the universe and the true meaning of life. He has said, "The human race has experienced many destructive catastrophes," "Mankind has been on the brink of destruction 81 times in the past," and "Our planet should have been exploded last year." According to Li Hongzhi, it was he who postponed this explosion by 30 years at the request of state leaders. Here we will not express opinions on whether or not he has any proof of this, but rather point out that his claims always center on himself. In every instance he focuses on how he is, and what he has done. All truth and sciences are replaced by "Master" Li himself and his subjectivity. What kind of logic is this? According to his logic, "Master" Li can say and do whatever he wants, and can wantonly trample on law and public order. All of us common people can only listen to him with respectful attention, otherwise we will be doomed to death. How can these things be real and be the greatest truth? They are lies, pseudoscience, and cultist nonsense out and out.

Truth and science love human beings. They have freed human beings from perplexity, foolishness and ignorance, liberated them from all kinds of trammels, and provided them with a brilliant and splendid life. They are the basis of human civilization, happiness, satisfaction and harmony. In the history of mankind, all pseudosciences and cults have taken it as their task to suppress human nature, regard human beings as their enemies, and build themselves up. All cults, from various kinds of sorcery in ancient society to all kinds of "immortals and fairylands," fatten on honest, kindhearted people. In essence, these cults wantonly trample on human nature and have an extreme hatred of the human race. This is fully borne out by "Master" Li's nonsense. He has viciously cursed and thrown mud at the human race so as to build up his status as a cult founder. He asserts that the earth on which we live is a rubbish heap; "there are devils everywhere" in the world; he is a Buddha and the reincarnation of Sakyamuni; only he can save the human race; and only by following his nonsense can people free themselves from their devil bodies. It means that we who do not believe his nonsense are all "devils," and we are doomed to death. An old saying goes that devils have their own way, and spirits, their own magic power. It is a great pity that we ordinary people have so far not experienced evil magic powers. Neither have we seen any traces of "destruction," and we continue to live a peaceful life. Why? This proves that it is another outrageous lie! Li Hongzhi, who hates human race intensely and regards himself as the Savior, represents a cult rather than science.

"Master" Li's best skill is to tell lies. He shamelessly advocates his nonsense, trying to confuse his audiences and turn lies into truth. However, this is an age of science, reason and civilization. We have found that not one single fantastic prediction made by Li Hongzhi has come true!

This proves that even if a lie is told a thousand times, it will not become truth.
